Building a Church

Open Door Ministries, home to a church in the village of Bois de Lance and the city of Cap Haitien, recently planted a third church in the city of Hinche, located in Haiti's central plateau.  In the summer of 2010, a fourth church will be planted in Haiti's Northeast.

Open Door Cap Haitien has quickly outgrown their 25x40 building, with over 400 congregants now crowded into two services, with overflow spilling out into the street.  Open Door's vision is to purchase and renovate a nearby vacant movie theatre, transforming it into a church and community center.   Project estimates are $600,000.

Open Door Hinche, in only 18 months, has grown to almost 400.  Open Door Church in Bois de Lance and Cap have been sending teams and resources, allowing Hinche to move out of its makeshift tent into a new church building...  a building with walls, but no roof and no seating as of yet.  Project estimates for adding a roof and seating are $40,000.

Our primary responsibility and focus right now is to respond properly to the earthquake and bring relief wherever we can. If you want to send a donation please send one to "Haiti Disaster Relief" or "Support Our Students".
